Reading the kenyan media the condition of lake turkana came up

there is a certain mau involvement, add global warming but the serious thing is an ethopian hydro dam on the feeder rivers with the power to be sold to kenya at a profit

neither country cares for tribal people

as per usual the assesments are irregular

Doesn't make much sense to me when looking at Lake Turkana Wind Power.

Survival International reports that the european investment bank has pulled funding on the dam

the more I read about this the less sense it makes

the environmental assesment was done a number of years after building began

built without a feasibility

it is in an area with a certain degree of sismec instabality, adding all that weight of concrete increases earthquake risk, and if they is a lot of water in it and there is a quake, a flood follows

creating a large water body in that area increases the risk of malaria.

I urge people to endorse the petition at http://www.stopgibe3.org
