Tree squirrel
Paraxerus cepapi

med_gallery_19057_791_132815.jpg

Taken in early morning light on 26 August 2012. Chikwenya Concession, next to Mana Pools NP, Zimbabwe.

At times we barely take notice of scenes like this one. From the corner of our eyes perhaps, while carrying on along our path, searching for larger animals and more action... Looking at this picture I am happy we stopped for a moment, switched off the engine, observed this beautiful creature at collecting the days breakfast and listened to the voices of the bush.

Trying to attach two photos I took yesterday of a squirrel but it is not working properly as it is not the right size. What am I doing wrong? I'm trying to attach from my pc as do not really want to load every photo onto the web.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pennyanne

A little darker than their UK cousins, I took these pictures of Red Squirrels in Retiro Park, Madrid between meetings last November.

I think I've figured it out. Here are two photos of a Western Red Squirrel taken two days ago from my kitchen window in Prince George, BC.
