I have been waiting Ten years as guide to see this, brand new lion cubs. This is one of two lioness's that we see very often on the concession. We have been having glimpses into their lives for over two years now. End of last year this lioness and her sister that i call the supermodels were both pregnant after mating with Vusi the dominant male Lion of our area. When we first saw them beginning of this year one of the lioness's had two cubs and the other which is the one in this picture had obviously lost hers as she had already stopped lactating. Now we have been waiting patiently for the last three months after seeing her mating again with Vusi in June this year. There is two cubs, too small to tell yet if they are male or female. They have a long way to go still. Fingers crossed! I last saw this lioness six days prior to this photo and she had not had the cubs then as was very full in the belly still. So this little future king or queen is maximum six days old. I think more likely three or four days as the eyes are still milky.
