The following images were captured close to Namiri Plains Camp, southern Serengeti in mid July 2016.

They are both of the sub-species, EAST AFRICAN STEENBOK. Raphicerus campestris neumanni

@@adam parkison Even though I lived in CAR for two years, I had to look up Chinko on Google maps, as I'd never heard of it. Seems like Michael Fay is somehow involved?

@@Swazicar, yes, here is a forum thread explaining more info about Chinko, and a little about my involvement - http://safaritalk.net/topic/16190-chinko-project/page-3?hl=chinko

As far as I know, Michael Fay has been an adviser in the transformation of Chinko as a hunting area, to now a protected wildlife preserve. I had the pleasure of meeting him in the bush there in 2014- which was cool since he has been a childhood hero of mine.

Cheers

/Adam

@@adam parkison Thanks. I never met him, but a friend and I spent a few days with Andrea Turkalo at her camp, back in 1991, just before I left CAR.
