Interesting about the red legs of the Blackwinged stilt - hope they stick to attracting the worms rather than the nearby crocs!

 

Like @@pault I'm now awaiting the lowdown on the final destiny of the mini quiches! I believe I eat some on the next leg of the trip with Doug Macdonald. A happy ending.

Another great canoe adventure for you Lynn, really a very enjoyable read. Very glad you were in good health again for this one. I remember the Carmines were an important target for you, so very happy you found three colonies. Beautiful photos. And of course I´m dying to know what happened with the Quiche - the suspense is killing me.

 

But misplacing the birthday chocolate? Unacceptable! I know somebody to whom that would be totally disastrous! :)

Quiche and chocolate have a happy ending. The fate of the quiche, which is divulged in another trip report, is rather anti-climactic and predictable. Welcome back @@michael-ibk.
