Good idea for a thread, @Ben mosquito, this is one of my favourite places anywhere, and it certainly deserves the spotlight. :)

I love the Aberdares.

Michael, your images certainly help sell the park as a destination.

As do all the others.

@michael-ibk your photos put all of mine to shame.  Those are seriously good, and really capture the essence of what makes Aberdare NP so special.
I have so many from many years of going to the aberdares since I was a kid, but they're scattered all over the place (digitally and in print), so I'll just put up a few here that I can find quickly.  Maybe @pault @twaffle and @optig can add some as well.

Well, that's annoying.  All of the pictures I chose had been saved the right way up, but now I see some are rotated sideways.  Not sure how to change that.  @Game Warden any idea?

@Zarek Cockar I'm looking at the images as attached and they are attached sideways: I can't do anything in the edit, and can only suggest re inserting the images. I can give you edit priviledges when you have time.

Very strange.  I specifically opened each one to ensure it was saved right-side-up and avoided the ones that hadn't been rotated. Ok, ho hum.  When I have time...

@Zarek Cockar, is that a Red Forest hog?

Beautiful place!

@Peter Connan

It´s a Giant Forest Hog, an Aberdares specialty.

@Zarek Cockar

Even though some of them are flipped, great pictures. I recognize all places except the one on the last photo - where is that?

@Patty

You seem to have had some very interesting weather - and roads!

:)

@michael-ibk the last photo shows the little river that runs just below the Ruhiruini public campsite where I camped with @optig last year in October. Great location as it provides good access to both the Salient and the moorlands without having to drive long distances to get to either.  It's just a couple of kms below Tusk Hut.
