Still haven´t seen Dynasties, really hope it will be broadcasted soon here.

But I have seen its stars - at least the Wild Dogs featured in that episode. This was in Mana Pools 2015, and the Dogs played hard to get. We had to work hard for our sighting, went far off track and found them midday lying under a tree in a dry riverbed, in very stark light. I know these are the Dogs of Dynasties, we only found them because the BBC guys told us where to go - they had filmed them just one hour before. So meet the stars.

A little iphone Mana dog action from 2017. Not great video but just the most spectacular backdrop and those sounds, oh they do take me back there in an instant.

Yes I thing so @wilddog .... do you know the story behind their floppy ears?

No, I never, found out.  The jury was out on ear mites/versus genetics.

Whyone?

It was certainly an odd look...made them apprear more 'domestic' than 'wild' somehow.

I'm reasonably sure that the alpha female had floppy ears...in which case you'd expect the gene to have prevailed?

I did wonder when I saw that pack as one if the floppy eared dogs DID seem to lead the pack out to hunt.

Zim Girl

Some more pictures of the actual stars of the show - all taken in Mana in 2015, and all lucky enough to be on our own while watching on foot.

This one shows one of the dogs with a baboon's head in it's mouth.  The dogs hunting baboons was discussed in the programme.
