The weather was relatively good on New Years' day, so we went out for a walk. Although we spotted a few different water fowl, most were far off and hopefully can be improved upon in the next 364 days,

@Tdgraves 400 mm on a crop body should get you closer to the birds, even in Sri Lanka. Did you have a dedicated bird guide with you?

@xelas so far was all on foot. Proximity and hence IQ will improve...

Love the Minivet, Hornbill, Green Pigeon and Goldenback, striking birds! Did not know Zitting Cisticola is found over there, they are widespread indeed. I heard Coppersmith Barbet all the time in India but never saw them, well done.

Thanks @michael-ibk Zitting is the only cisticola they have, which makes LBJs a bit easier!!
