This was a bird we really looked forward to seeing - and it was lovely. The next couple are distant heavy crops - but I like them!

I didn't know that they carried their babies (like grebes) so we were thrilled to be able to watch this

They were at home in very fast flowing water

Great spot for the Harlequins, right near a bridge? I became obsessed with trying to get a better GND shot. Stunning bird in breeding plumage. Love the fact that you got the young too.

The Harlequins were on a fast flowing river near to Godafoss waterfalls. The second one was from a bridge over the road (two fast flowing rivers join just before the bridge) , the first from a track along the river (both were in the same area)

We did also see them in a river at the edge of Myvatn lake.

And once again magnificent photos Tony!

A brilliant set. Loved the Glaucous in flight as I have never seen a full adult white one. We just get Juvs here.

Star prize as others has to be GN Diver. Again full breeding rig and piggy back chicks.  I have seen BT Divers do this so not surprised they all do but what  superb family photo.
