The National Park was excellent for Water Birds, and there were lots of Jacanas.

Nice. The African Blue is always a welcome sight. I like the Moustached Warbler too.

I can see your numbers climbing up as fast as the thermometer in Slovenia is climbing down! Excellent start, and for techies out there you might want to repeat what camera gear have you used.

@Galana thank you - the first time we have seen the Blue Flycatcher, so a treat for us!

@xelas thank you - the numbers may creep up a bit.

The Camera is Canon 7dii with 100-400mark ii

Distant mega-crop, but I think the eye and the chest markings are distinctive

Lots more good birds. Just humour me with a good crop of the first Auger Buzzard pls. That's an awful long tail and skinny legs. Is it two shots of the same bird as it flew or two sightings?

@PeterHG @Peter Connan thank you

@Galana Thank you very much for looking so closely. The two birds are different individuals, taken about half an hour apart. I see what you mean about the legs and the tail of the perching bird (I am confidant of the second picture of the bird in flight).

I am attaching an even bigger crop of the perched bird. The legs and tail are clearer and the white under the chin is more visible.

This next bird is the same individual as it takes off from the tree, so a clearer view of the tail and underwing markings.

We were wondering if it might be a Great Sparrowhawk? It is found in Nairobi National Park so it is possible.

What do you think?

What I thought at the time.  That the bird is undoubtedly a Great Sparrowhawk. Just wanted to be sure and not mislead you.

A 'trade mark' of Auger Buzzard is the red tail so well captured on your flying shot.

The Juvenile has a bigger tail than the adult. Less efficent than the smaller tail of the adult, but easier to learn to fly with
