I think these are really pretty birds - and very cute.

(I read that it is actually a duck, despite the name)

That was a quick 100 @TonyQ, still really enjoying the Indian birds.

Congratulations Tony, well done! Cool snap of the flying Kingfisher! Your Barbet pic puzzled me until I read the text, something seemed to be missing. :-)

Some authorities treat the Changeable and Crested Hawk-eagles as sub species, and other authorities treat them as different species.

Weighing up all the evidence I have chosen the latter (:))

Probably our most widely seen raptor - common in Satpura and Kaziranga

I confess that I didn't know there was an "Eastern Cattle Egret" until I read @Tdgraves Sri Lank postings. (Need to look out for a "Western" later in the year)

ARRRGGGH you got an emerald dove! well done. We got so many pigeons and doves and our guides were "oh, they are so common...." we had one fly by sighting only

Congrats on the 100 and beyond. Beautiful raptor shots! That Emerald Dove is quite a bird, too.

Congratulations on passing #100, Tony, high quality stuff as always. Your photos bring back many nice memories, I think I have an almost identical-looking photo if the Emerald Dove from Kaziranga.
