It is amazing to see so many photographers around the Robin.

It is such a common bird in the UK (we see them every day in our garden)

But UK birders get excited about birds that visit the UK that are common in other countries.

Just shows it is all a matter of perspective.

I still remember our first trip to India, it was a volunteer trip with the Young Ornithologists Club's teenage arm, RSPB Phoenix and jointly run by the Bombay Natural History Society.  We were birding in Bharatpur, our guides got super excited about a vagrant duck that had turned up... it was a mallard... :lol:
