69. Chipping Sparrow, North Carolina, NA 26.

This is a really common bird that for the life of me I could not get a good shot of!

72. Black and White Warbler, North Carolina, NA 29.

This bird's name is like Ronseal - "does it exactly what it says on the tin"!

Work hasn't afforded me much chance to post of late but I've finally got sometime this on this lovely Sunday afternoon

74. Killdeer, North Carolina, NA 31.

This guy was in the turning circle outside the local supermarket. In the late evening light I almost tread on him

75. American Robin, North Carolina, NA 32.

Has to be the most common bird that I saw, especially after a little rain when they go made for earthworms

86. Western Osprey, North Carolina, NA 43.

I tried workout if the North American Osprey is a sufficiently distinct species from the European to claim this is a form of sub-species but my reading suggest that with the exception of the Australasian they are all Western Osprey

87. Purple Gallinule, Georgia, NA 44.

This next set of shots are from Georgia and in particular the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge (SNWR). SNWR is conveniently located about 25mins from central Savannah, so combining a sight seeing trip and birding stop wasn't too hard. It's also jam packed full of Alligators which entertained my wife and young kids

93. Red-bellied Woodpecker, North Carolina, NA 50.

It was getting a better shot of this bird that lead me to blowing up my camera! I think I'll make do with what I've got in the future

94. Turkey Vulture, North Carolina, NA 51.

These poor guys were photographed on a wet and misty day in Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge (ARNWR). I'm going to write a small TR on ARNWR when I get the chance mainly because it has to be the best place in the world to see Black Bears - we saw 8 in two drives!
