More lovely shots!

I hope one day to see a Racket-tailer one day...

They are very beautiful.

The ones we saw are close to Camp Hwange and are apparently there regularly. If only someone had told me that on the first day.

The Racket-tailed Roller was a great find even if it was late in the day. Excellent photos,I'm hoping to see some your sightings on my trip so enjoying reminding myself what is what from your shots!

It was my intention to try and keep my Big Year free from any EBC content this year. I had hoped that I might be able to slip the next couple of posts in quietly during a busy period from other BY contributors, but it has been a bit quiet lately so I doubt these will go un-noticed.

The next few postings are included on the basis that, although the images are crappy, I do not see these birds very often and will almost certainly not get another chance to see them this year.

#152 - Half-collared Kingfisher - Alcedo semitorquata

It was almost dark when we spotted this kingfisher sitting in the shade. Noise or de-noise, it is still a pretty poor photo.
