Pangolin...our first sighting ever and it was a Long-tailed Pangolin! A shaky, poor quality video taken February 3, 2014 from the canopy tower in Kakum NP, Ghana. But it does show its serpentine appearance while moving through the trees.

Pygmy Falcon

Photographed at 9:01 am on 29 April, 2014 in Samburu National Reserve, Kenya, with an EOS 1D X camera and an EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II super-telephoto lens.

ISO 200, 1/2000 sec., f/5, 400mm focal length, handheld Manual exposure.

When we spotted this Polihierax semitorquatus, Pygmy Falcon, it had just landed on a snag.

For a small perching raptor, is was quite active, jostling around on the snag, looking this way and that. Another happy moment in lovely Samburu.
