Muddy hippos

The attached was taken in South Luangwa. It's a nothing special picture of 3 hippos covered in lots of thick mud ...... or is it ......

 

Look top right of pic, lying under the tree roots, quite well camouflaged too

Everyone in the vehicle missed seeing it and I only noticed it when I was at home, sat behind the PC, looking at and processing pictures.

 

Nature wins everytime!

WOW. I had something similar with a cheetah in Tsavo where we missed this massive gaping wound on its hind quarters. Obviously not the same, but..... :D
