Burchell's Coucal

 

Following the discussion above (see post #24 and #49) with @@egilio, this was seen in a very similar location on 6/9/14 (S100 near Satara, KNP) to my original post and the barred tail is easily seen...

We've only ever seen a fleeting glimpse of these once, in Lower Zambezi NP and had no chance of a photo, so this made the game drive for me :)

Sorry all - I have mislabelled #89. It is a bearded woodpecker, from Mashatu (another new one for us), not a Bennett's from King's camp. Should have realised as the Timbavati one was much further away....(trying to find the proof shot now)

 

Also, I had already posted a crested francolin, so clearly not new for us on this trip.

 

Must try harder!! :)
