Thank you so much @@SafariChick for steering me to this enjoyable trip report and for your recommendations. Being one that is easily car/boat/plane sick I feel for your daughter...it's an awful feeling. The one thing I've learned that makes it worse for me is being dehydrated as we all get from flying. If I drink tons the day before I feel just fine and I've even managed to be able to read in a car, something I've never done before.

I feel so bad for the mother tapir, did you ever hear about her fate?

My daughter also much prefers an African safari over our Morocco trip.

Thanks for the great read. Patsy

@@PCNW you're very welcome, so glad you enjoyed it. I know, the motion sickness is just terrible. That is good to know about the dehydration - next time I will try to have her be very hydrated before we attempt anything that could cause motion sickness.

I know, we were all so worried about the mother tapir. I did correspond with Nito, our guide, in May of 2014 so not too long after we had returned. I asked him about the mama tapir and he said he had just seen her the day before and she was a little better. But I haven't been in touch with him lately. I just decided to email him and ask if she got better and the baby grew up and thrived. I hope so! I will post what I find out.

Hope you have a great trip to CR!
