Volcanoes, 23/11. Here this species (subspecies toruensis) does not have much of a white eye-ring:

Somewhere on the way to the Mara, 25/11. Quite common but never got a close shot. Very similar to Pale Flycatcher, of which I possibly also have photos but am not sure enough.

Tits are such familiar, common birds in Europe but in Africa they are seen very rarely - and difficult to approach!

Aberdares, 8/12 - unfortunately only an ebc-shot of this striking bird.

The female - as is the norm with Sunbirds much less interesting, and very tricky to identify. I have lots of female Sunbird shots where I gave up on identification. This is has at least some distinctive traits. Aberdares, 6/12

Aberdares, 8/12. Extremely similar but the red breast band is a bit broader and bordered with a violet (instead blue) band.
