370/EA41.) White-Spotted Flufftail (Sarothrura pulchra) / Perlenralle

 

Kakamega, 30/11. Very bad photo but still a very satisfying one for me, tried more than 30 minutes for this bird. They live in dark, overgrown creek beds are tiny and are "extremely difficult to see" according to "Birds of East Africa".

Michael, I think is OK and countable if photo is taken in 2016. Only 98 to take the lead, you can do it!

That does seem a reasonable point...

Akagera NP, 20/11. A common bird, also seen in the Mara and Solio a couple of times.

Also seen from this group: Helmeted Guineafowl (one of the most common birds on safari), Harlequin Quail (one flushed at Lake Baringo,no chance for a photo), Red-Knobbed Coot (in the Aberdares), Kori Bustard (a couple of times in the Mara and Solio).

An impressive Francolin collection @@michael-ibk ! Love your flight shot of the Grey Crowned Crane and getting a shot of the elusive Flufftail must have been very rewarding. Close to hitting the 400 mark!
