And more new ones which I had overlooked...well this one was not exactly overlooked, I just needed to check if it was the same one we had seen in Jamaica or not!

And to finish off today with some Matusadona duplicates (some to make up for previous proof shots), which are unsurprisingly mainly waterbirds...

Dave Williams

Some excellent captures, I'm envious of the Skimmers they are high on my wish list. Is that a Bat that the Harrier-hawk has caught?

@Dave Williams yup. They live in the dead trees. On previous drives we had asked what type they were, but the guide didn’t know. He still couldn’t ID it with a specimen!!

@Tdgraves - brilliant collection.

Not it that it makes any difference but did you consider a juvenile green backed heron for your night Heron? It’s eye is yellow where as I think the night herons are red or a dark orange in the juvenile.

Thanks @ImSA84 I could be getting confused as we had a couple of sightings - will double check tomorrow....

Highly likely the Bat was Yellow-winged.

I am happy that the Heron is Juv Black-crowned Night Heron (although I did have to reach for the book to be sure.)

Striated or Green-backed  does not have 'white' in the streaky front.

Your LBJ could actually be the longed for  Steppe. The gape certainly extends well back.

Thanks @Galana my OH reminded me that the LBJ was the steppe eagle as we saw it in the same place the morning after the first sighting. It’s amazing what you forget!

After trawling back though the photos, I found 2 more on my Matusadona list that I have not posted. I'll be damned if I can find a photo of a spur-winged goose, but I found this one....
