Another one from Abijatta Shalla. Crombecs are easily identified (on a genus level) by their tail-less appearance.

Lake Ziway. The only Cisticola photo I took. We certainly saw more, definitely remember the endemic Ethiopian Cisticola which unfortunately was too distant for even trying a photo.

Seen a few times in Harenna Forest and Dinsho (where photo was taken). Note the Latin name - chocolate lovers should be fond of this bird.

Lake Langano. Not easy to tell apart from a Drongo from a distance, the German name even translates to "Drongo Flycatcher".

Abijata Shalla NP. I always found it very difficult in the books to tell this one apart from a Dusky (next post) but they do actually look quite different.

Bale Mountains Lodge. A very common highlands bird I´m quite fond of - I think their chunky look is kinda cute.

So many wonderful additions and quite a few endemics. Great to see this mix of familiar safari birds, familiar European birds and completely unfamiliar Ethiopian species!

Thanks, @PeterHG , Ethiopia is a fantastic birding destination indeed. Birding groups see between 500 and 600 species in two weeks I was told (covering a few additional areas) by Abiy.

A pretty common and bold bird that is pretty approachable. Used to be the "Common Fiscal" but that species was split into this one and the Southern Fiscal.
