Two distant sightings at Ali Deghe. And both a disappointment because we hoped it could be an African Swallow-Tailed Kite - which we missed.

Common everywhere we went, especially around human settlements. This one from Bale NP:

Bale NP. One of my "most wanted" ones for this trip. They do occur in Austria and I´ve even seen one this year, but while driving and I did not have my camera ready.

Normally the most common Vulture one sees on safari but in Ethiopia we only had one, in Senkelle.

The most common vulture in Ethiopia, seen quite often at roadkills. In general vultures seem to be doing quite well in Ethiopia. Somewhere between Bale and Lake Awasa.

Another new Vulture for me. One sighting of a few birds, also somewhere between Bale and Awasa.

Quite common in Guassa (where photo was taken) and (to a lesser extent) Bale. For some reason we saw only females/immatures, though - are the males migrating to somewhere else?

Our classic buzzard from back home where I often curse it. I often see it, especially on the motorway, but find it extremely difficult to get close to this common raptor. One seen in Ethiopia in the highlands somewhere on the way to Bale.

A handful of sightings in Awash, Ali Deghe, Bale and Senkelle. Not as present as in East Africa´s safari areas. Here from Bale:
