@@madaboutcheetah When did you visit Ol Donyo Lodge? I was there twice in February for four days each time and only saw one cheetah. I did however see hyenas on my visit.

The end? I thought you were just warming up.

Really good set of photos to end with anyway. Fascinating landscape.

love the landscape pics - of the arc of trees suspended above the lower background, the sudden switch of trees to dry bare brown land, the koppies that stick out of the plains and the 9th pic in post 28 where the trees look like they form concentric rings - amazing photos.

sounds like a great place to be in. and i remember amy and shaun from MP days!

I have to say that I saw the biggest herd of eland which I've ever seen in my life at Ol Donyo Lodge. There were also many journeys of giraffes.

@@madaboutcheetah Jeremiah was able to answer some questions that I've long been curious about. I've always wanted to know that if pigs were the smartest domestic animals( 3 times smarter than dogs) than why were warthogs infamous for their stupidity? He explained that it was due to the fact that warthogs and domestic pigs are only distantly related and they separated thousands of years ago. He also agreed with my theory that the only reason that hyenas don't attack adult male lions in a pack is because they know that they would lose too many members of the pack in an attack. As we know hyenas like all animals are opportunists.

X2, and the one of the zebras through the trees. You're back at your fav MP and having been there, i can fully agree. Is the food just as fabulous? It was michelin star worthy for me when we were there.

You're developing a cheetahs-eye view for those herbivores..... not just in the one with the cheetah in either.

Shots look great. Lovely and green. And what a lot of water!! Where was that? The Talek or Olare OroK? Surely not one of the luggas, although it doesn't seem very wide?
