Lovely additions. Jealous about the Orange-Breasted Sunbird, missed that one in Kirstenbosh.

Just as well somebody is looking over your shoulder.

You dropped a ton, literally, between the lovely OB Sunbird and the Sugarbird.

Your next bird will be #349.

Keep em coming .

I have been carrying the camera around in the car all week, hoping to catch a partridge on the way home from work, but have been thwarted by traffic (even though it is half term) and hence lack of light for the past two days. Today I saw a large group of them, but with nowhere suitable to stop . I thought I'd try the entrance road to Fen Drayton lakes, but no luck....However, I was able to catch this, a first for me in this reserve. It was not keen to pose though.....

When I went out to get a paper on Sunday, I thought I'd swing by the field where the partridges were, given that it'd be easier to stop and the sun was out. Yet again, however, no partridges

I did find a couple new for the year though

Just found another new one from Cape Town. Poor IQ though, as taken through the window of the lounge in the airport with my iPhone 8. We did also see one in Kirstenbosch, but it was chased off by a selfie-taker....

So, on to the KTP. Apart from a mystery bird that I am yet to identify, I don't think we had any new species. This one was new for the park though. i was very surprised to see three of them in a bush! They flew off into a nearby tree, but did not stay still for photos...

Despite being numerous flying around waterholes, we only really got one chance for photos of these guys, on the last day!
