@xelas - great stuff as always.

I’m curious - where in Montagu did you see the Little Bitten?

We have stayed at 360 On 62, a b&b/farm guest house, and there was quite a large dam on the property. I have seen also the male but it was well camouflaged; will show his photo in trip report. I have learned about this property from @PeterHG trip report here:

Dave Williams

Excellent quality, particularly love the Ibis and Turaco shots. I do wonder how you will get on with @Peter Connan though as you have seen so many SA birds already!

There are whole families of birds we have not seen any species of; and being in the competent company of Peter will only increase my chances of getting more African birds :P!

Not all birds were close enough to get a decent photo. Like the Kori Bustard. And some ducks.

Wow, what an excellent start to your new year - too many great photos to praise them all, but I particularly like the Black Harrier, the White-Eye, the Great Crested Grebe, the Great KF and the Krysna of course. Stll kinda sceptical about your Ashy Flycatcher, that's really very far from where it should be. Are you sure it's not another Dusky?

Thanks for taking your time, @michael-ibk, and for all likes:o. The flycatcher ... what to say, but in the great scheme of birding life, one flycatcher more or less ... btw I have several “mistery birds” which I will post at the end of the rest and I am looking forward to your comments :).
