Most migratory species, unlike the two previous years at the same time, had already returned to their home countries. Here are some pictures of the local species.

@ice

I also receive their monthly newsletter.  That's why I asked.  But you are right, at the end, it does not make any difference.

Mike, as always a pleasure to follow your report. Gameviewing may have been difficult, but you certainly saw everything in an incredibly beautiful landscape. I´m really not sure about your birds but would rather suggest Pink-Backed Pelican (black spot in loral area, what seems to be a dark half-ring behind the eye, little bare skin around eye), Cattle Egret (very short bill, hint of buff plumes on crown) and Tawny-Flanked Prinia.

@michael-ibk

Thanks, Michael, for the identification of birds.  You must certainly be right.

And you are right again, at this time of the year, when you say that everything is seen in an incredibily gorgeous landscape.

@Kitsafari

Thank you so much for your comments!  The light, at that time of the year, is often not too bad and even sometimes very good but very quickly unsettled.

@madaboutcheetah

yeah, after double checking, we had multiple sightings of the various splinter groups of the Bonga Pride and saw tracks of the Wapoka Pride on the boundary road to Selinda

Those last two photos of the Selina pride are especially fantastic. I’m looking forward to your continuation on to Victoria Falls and Hwange.

@Bush dog

thank you for sharing our lovely lion encounters ? i’m all in for the cats and this is just amazing. Loving the family portraits!

The scenary definitely looks it’s best in the greens. I usually travel in the interim period when it’s still a lot of green but no rain, but our photos really shows the landscape at its best!
