@GalanaNo bluffing involved as far as I am aware

Well that is what bluffers would say would they not?:P

'India' is writ large on your photo caption.

If I move to Africa I am tempted with Irania.

I've checked out Ocam's Razor too but that was no help either.:(

Rufous-bellied Niltava but the bill does not quite fit.

Am I the only one playing?

@Galana Maybe everyone else has gone to sleep until the update has completely finished, I don't know.

I'm afraid it's not a Niltava, if you keep on like this you're bound to get it eventually, there can't be many similar looking birds left:lol:

There's obviously more than I have books for.

I think maybe @Dave Williams had it with his Hellohammer.

It's Saturday at Nine. Time to let the dog out!

@Galana No, I think I just confused you, that wasn't intentional hence my reference to Hanlon's Razor, @Soukous had the right idea he was just looking in the wrong place, perhaps some botany will help.

Sure did. Azalea/Rhododenron. Himalayas.

Blue-capped Rock Thrush.:P

I was fixated on African Rock Thrushes and forgot Asiatics.

Would you believe that when I grabbed Birds of India it actually fell open at the right page. (If I am right of course)

I blame @janzin;)

@Galana All correct, as I suspected that rather gave it away, having had plenty of time to a pick a bird, I chose one that wasn't already online, and then attached it in haste failing to register, that the file name said India.

Back over to you

Now I really DO blame @janzin;)

Competing in two games is darn hard work as I have to be careful that the bird poto does not give the location and the location does not give up a good bird.

And NEITHER will help the Google monsters.

If your 'flying start' is a clue then I'll go for Abyssinian Slaty Flycatcher as it is the only one I know of with a pale eye

No. It was meant as a gesture to our cousins over the pond who would be still awake when I wrote it.

Not an Abyssinian Flycatcher.:(

Sorry.

Welcome @mvecht. So you have got roped in too.

I don't think there is a Cream-vented Bulbul but if there is the reply is 'no'. Not Yellow-vented either jut to be sure.

It looks like some sort of female blackbird or grackle to me. Its got an icterid bill.  But for the life of me I can't find a match, one that is light underneath.

@Galana  I have been part of this game for a long time:D but not been very active the last year.

There is indeed a bird called a Cream-vented Bulbul. The scientific name is Pycnonotus Simplex. @Kitsafari probably has pictures of it, as it lives in her area.
