They've been back since mid-February, but I've been unable to photograph them until they set up breeding territories. The more red on the wing, the more dominant the male.

Named because it builds nests on the ground that look like dutch ovens. I think the scientists naming this bird were just hungry.

Yes, this is a horrible photo. Yes, I will undoubtedly be able to take a better one. But! He was next to the nest, and I was keeping a safe distance away. Babies are almost ready to fledge.
