Nah, I'm just picking them up one at a time. I think your horde from Uganda is called stockpiling :P

Horde? Would that be a Slovenian Horde? I thought you needed more than two!

Aargh, got me. Of course I was referring to the hoard brought back by your Slovenian horde.

If interested I can always post some of my many bulbuls on @Soukous thread :P. For others, I was told that elderly always take precedence ;).

Is that why you always  let Jo have the last word on your Trip report?

That come from my home training. I have always the last word at home: "Yes, darling !"

I have been known to use that acronym as well. But not this year. Well not yet anyway.

I had worked that out some years ago when we met in Austria.

  • 2 weeks later...

With so many beautiful birds from Tanzania & Uganda being posted at the moment I feel a bit shy about the sole addition to my BY

I did get a couple of other species in the garden but not happy with the pics, so I'll try again later

#120 - Common Buzzard - Buteo buteo

From my breakfast table, Ufford, Suffolk

I spotted this perched on a tree (the bird not me, I was finishing my breakfast) about 100 metres away

The barring had me guessing but I am pretty sure it is a common buzzard

Sometimes, yes. It is not so well positioned as a dinner table because the evening sun shines straight into my eyes. But I wouldn't dream of complaining about the sun shining in UK.

I seem to be spending a silly amount of time staring out of the windows trying to entice birds into the garden by willpower.

Not nearly as well as I'd like. :( There are so many birds I can hear but which I cannot get close to for a photograph.

Linnet, Nuthatch, Green Woodpecker, Whitethroat to name just a few
