I wasn't expecting the hide to be open, given the social distancing measures, but I was surprised to find that it was. It is quite far from the breeding islands, however, just as I arrived, this pair chose a close little island to perform for me!

Nice additions. I've been trying to nab a Red-legged Partridge for a while now. I see them almost every day, but by the time I've got my camera in hand they have strutted into the undergrowth .

Thanks @PeterHG @Peter Connan and @Soukous

i am usually scratching around at the end of the year to get the partridges - very visible when driving to work, not so when a camera is available....

A very worthwhile lock down day.

Love the Grebes. We don't have them here so that is one I won't get this year.

Nice weather, nice birds, what more a birder in UK should ask for?!

Another fan of the Grebes here - lovely shots. And would love to see the Partridges one day.

Question - your pictures now take a very long time for me to load (some more than five, sometimes ten seconds) - is that just me? Don´t have that problem on any other BY, and have only noticed it since you changed your FlickR modus operandi.

probably my fault @michael-ibk I clearly don't know how to use the tools properly!! Maybe it's because ST is having to resize. I'll try resizing them first next time and see if that helps...
