Singapore or IOM. Both can deliver. :)

Rooms available next Tuesday on a Scottish wildfowl rich territory. 100,000 ticks of Barnacle Geese 24/7

Just bring a tooth brush and camera.

and a sea view to boot!

Not to slight Singapore or IOM but I might have something better in mind. Or actually I might even be there. 😉

Great idea! Does everybody at home know about your plans  ?

Well, I just could not do an entire year without Africa, and everybody at home understands that. B)I'm in the Mara (Ol Kinei) right now, and then to the Aberdares and Ol Pejeta. Booked on very short notice. Might have gotten out of Austria just in time, a new lockdown is imminent I'm afraid - sadly our numbers are the highest they have ever been!

the Lady of the House just rattled on in Portuguese, wrote some numbers on the tablecloth and that was the bill. :D

I really miss travelling

I took a wrong turn, ended up on the motorway and had to go back almost 40 kms before the next exit.

Don't miss that bit..

hope Kenya was amazing too, are you ever home working?

Very envious of your trips Michael and I'll remember this report for future reference. Portugal certainly has a huge appeal, especially if the Baccala is better than the Spanish one we have had recently!

That's some detailed list you have put together too, thanks!

Not if I can avoid it! And Kenya is always amazing!

E-Bird does that automatically, just a copy & paste job. :)

Will take a while till I´ll manage to work through my Kenya photos - a little teaser, a lifer I was particularly delighted to see:

It´s a White-Starred Robin Angie. Apparently not uncommon (according to the books) but a skulky forest dweller. Seen in Nairobi Tented Camp just after arrival, a great birdy start to the trip.

And a cracking portrait of one too. Far better than I have ever managed. Well done.

Still not ready with my Kenya photos but just have to post a repeat. While it seems they are like Sparrows for @GalanaGolden Plovers are super-special here, and this young bird was very obliging. Delighted a lot of local birders today.

I am sure it did. Delightful is their middle name. I can rarely resist 'another shot' when I see my local flock. (As is self evident on my own thread lately. :))

Your photo certainly shows why they are called ‘Golden’! Great shot.

ooh, got my attention with "Nairobi Tented Camp". That was our first African camp experience and so loved our time there, hope you enjoyed it too. Looking forward to the TR, such a trip is just beyond my wildest dreams at the moment.
