I also found a tawny owl feather on the drive this week,

Keep collecting and one day you will have enough for a whole one.:)

The cattle were actually bullocks/stirks and more mischievous than dangerous. Cows with calves at foot are the ones to watch out for especially if you have a dog with you.

Well done with the two targets.

Lovely Duck shots and what a pretty picture that goose made with the wildflower. :)

I managed to get to Welney this week, before the biblical rain started and bagged a few, although they are a bit further away at this time of year with the lower water levels

I found another tawny owl feather on Wednesday and was tempted to take a photo for @Galanabut I didn't get around to it...

Last night when we went upstairs to bed, I heard a loud strange squeaking noise that I haven't heard before, so I decided to go outside to investigate. It was coming from a tree, so I went back in to get a torch and I was extremely surprised and pleased to see an owlet staring back at me! I ran back into the house and upstairs to tell the OH, but he wasn't interested enough to get back out of bed :(. So I went back out alone, but with the camera. It was very hard holding the camera up with only one hand whilst trying to aim the torch with the other, but when I did, I got an even bigger surprise....there were two of them :D A lifer in my garden after 8 years. Needless to say, I went to sleep with a big grin!

thanks @Kitsafari @PeterHG and @TonyQ

this is what you can achieve with two people....one to operate the camera and the other to do the spotlight.

Excellent sighting, you'll be hooked for a while! You could try putting a little mince out for them , somewhere that's illuminated perhaps?
