After waiting two hours for my mower to be returned after a service this morning, I rang up to find that they had forgotten to arrange the delivery, but 45 minutes later it arrived, meaning that I could get out for a walk. It was sunny, but the wind blew in lots of clouds whilst I was there.

And I have finally reached the half century, without having recourse to the garden (yet!). Spring must be here, as there were several of these singing away - first of the year for me.

Now that I have passed 50, I feel that I can use the garden. These are extremely rare in my garden, I have probably only seen them a couple of times in the 8 years that we have been here, so when I saw this one in the pear tree this morning, I ran inside to get the camera!

Congratulations on the 50.

Good to hear the Lawn Mower is fixed.

That is the true sound of summer although good to hear the Chiff Chaff too.

Long-tailed Tit is a star pose.

Congratulations for both the Welands award and for reaching #50! Interested to see what your garden will produce (in term of birds).
