Envious of the Barn Owl...I had hoped to get up your way to see one but the way things are moving it won't be any day soon!

I see you have just been given a little more travel freedom, but sadly it doesn't extend to crossing the border just yet!

Great to see a Barn Owl and even get such photos of it! Many excellent photos in the batch and I absolutely love your swan set.

A glorious sighting (and photo!) of the Barn Owl, and a really super shot of the Treecreeper.

  • 2 weeks later...

I had better get myself up to the fifty mark or I am being left well behind!

This one was taken earlier in the year and I haven't been able to better it yet so in it goes.

We continue to see our tree sparrows every day.  I was hoping they would nest again as they have in previous years but so far they are showing no interest in the nest box.

It wasn't available to them last year because we had a lot of building work going on, so maybe they have found somewhere else!

Congrats on the 50th! and an often overlooked  but pretty bird to celebrate it with. As i mentioned in my thread too, the tree sparrows appear to be very scarce these days in our garden. So i get fairly excited when we see one or two of them.

Congratulations on the 50.

I always like Tree sparrows. They seem to have a certain smartness about them.

Well done on reaching 50! I have yet to find a Tree Sparrow this year. They have become quite scarce here, too.

Congrats on passing 50, well done! I’m also quite fond of Tree Sparrows - still a very common bird here fortunately.
