Very high but nice to see them. They are just arriving so I expect there to be more of them in a few weeks

Trough of Bowland around Dunsop Bridge is reliable most winters.

Adding Male Goosander to the already posted female, Ladywalk

A Siskin in the garden. Not a very common garden visitor so a little treat!

Another productive day out.

I do wish the people who insist on putting jewelry on young birds would keep accurate records as I cannot trace that Oystercatcher.

Does your full size image give any clue as to what is on the aluminium ring on the right Tibia?

Probably from NL or F.

thanks @xelas

@Galana thanks

I have been throughall the photos of the Oystercatcher that I took

Here are very high enlargement of a couple that are the "best"

I presume the colour ring patterns are of some use (to someone!) but I can only pick out the odd letter on the metal rings

Thanks @TonyQ. Yes all rings count.

This specimen would be described as "Red over black on Rt Tarsus. Blue left Tarsus, coded aluminium left Tibia."

I will see what I can find out.

Congrats on 50, already up to 60. Im guessing with Spring in the air in your half of the world now, every ones numbers will be soaring.
