Today I went to the ponds at the Sugar Factory enjoying the warm weather.

#88 (IOM 78) Yellow Wagtail (Motacilla flava)

Had an exciting time watching the Cormorant fight and eat an Eel.

that looks like one big eel. i'm guessing the cormorant won.

@Kitsafariyes, the Cormorant won but it had to work very hard for several minutes.

If it is what I think it is it would be pretty rare in Denmark and so easy to discount

@Dave WilliamsThank you for the input.  assume you think that it is a House Sparrow? Unfortunately I only took two pictures and with the same pose.

I must admit I did not take a closer look at the bird. The House Sparrow has gone from being one of the most common birds in Denmark to now being a much rarer sight so normally I am on the lookout for House Sparrows. I am open to the idea of this being a House Sparrow, especially as it would give me one more for my IOM count as I have Tree Sparrows in the garden every day:D
