What a harvest for that walk! And very good photos, too of some highly desirable species (well, to me at least) ;).

It was a great harvest, Peter. And on Sunday I was hoping for even greater one. Nearby Sečoveljske soline, abandoned salpt pans, are famous for its high numbers of waders and ducks. Birders reports up to 50 species on eBird. From my only other visit to this place I know it is a demanding place to bird, as salt pans are really wide and birds have plenty of territory to get away from prying eyes. It was also hotter then the previous day, and while not as prolific as Škocjanski zatok, it was a good birding day.

And this one was a pure luck as there were many Barn Swallows flying over and I have taken photos of them only to practices BIF. Only when looking at the photos back home one stands out of the bunch.

It was a very prolific 2 days ob birding on the coast; 19 new birds in Škocjanski zatok and 12 in Sečoveljske soline. Which gets us back into the main group of this BY .
