As mentioned it was turbulent two weeks at home, but not for Zvezda. She enjoyed some well deserved quality time at Dobrna SPA & Health Centre. On Sunday Tanja and I have visited her, and after listening to bird songs in the park for so long, she wanted to get a picture of two of the entertainers. And as it should be, she got us to #100! Well done, Zvezda!

congrats to you three on the 100th! see the wonders a rest at the spa can do for photography (not that Zvezda ever needs a spa since her photography is already top class)! an awesome shrike and flycatcher. she sure deserves her rest days!

@Tdgraves, @shazdwn, @Kitsafari, @Zim Girl and @Galana - I am really surprised to reach 100 birds in Slovenia before summer, specially under the past strict regulations. I do hope that in autumn crossing borders within EU will be allowed for those vaccinated, and maybe there is a chance to reach #200.

Until such time, there are several birding locations that I have not yet visited. One of those is Hraše pond. Within easy f+driving distance from Ljubljana, it is famous for getting close to Great Crested Grebe. From our last visit they have constructed and observation blind so getting a decent photo of ducks and similar is even easier.

It is important to have your camera with you whenever leaving the home. A casual coffee break produced this rarely seen (for me anyway) bird.
