I had similar thoughts.

Well whilst I cannot speak for Chez Soukous I will put in a good word for a certain window and garden in SLO. The Lasko is pretty good too.;)

Well, Alex has already offered to apply his aquathermal  treatment skills to our expanse of glass, so that should lift our rating.

Good idea. Was it not our host-to-be who subjected his wife to a rice diet in Namibia? Or was it Botswana?

Shall I be the potjie princess, to give you a break? And I can light fires and braai. Not so great with doing the dishes, though.

Oh my, a man can not escape his reputation  (it was Namibia / Kgalagadi). Michael, training would be a good idea; don't forget chef Andreas :).

I can do dishes! I can't cook unless you want to know what inedible food tastes like.

You can lead the evening "what have we seen" meetings, plus adding a course of EBC photography ^_^.

Speaking of “free” zone, I still remember the notice on the reception counter at Hotel Jugoslavija in Belgrade:

Molimo uvažene goste da ostave vatreno oružje na recepciji

Not all have respected that.

Leave your Uzi with reception.?

Basically yes; mostly CZ production pistols, like CZ-99 (used to end the life of infamous Arkan at another Belgrade hotel.
