This is an endangered species but reliably found in this town - first time I have seen one in a nest though, they nest in termite mounds

Why is it Australia takes a European style species and adds a little something to make it look quite spectacular in comparison. The Spoonbill and Herons being just two examples! Excellent action shot of the latter too.

Once again I find myself with a lot of catching up to do. I may not get it done in one sitting but I'll at least make a start.
