Cranes on the ground ... a sight that still eludes me. Improvements are excellent.

Love the Cranes. Cool to see the Kingfishers in their holes, and what a beautiful Pintail shot.

At this time of year, Slimbridge is good for Geese that we don't often see close to home

This is a North American Goose, and there is some question about how it got here. A suggestion it may have come from Belgium (!) rather than from across The Atlantic.

A bird for the Dubious Goose Panel, but I am claiming it :)

This is another North American goose and someone said there were discussions with the British Ornithological Club about whether it is claimable.

Luckily I am not a member of the BOC so it is added to my list:D

That is it for Slimbridge for a very enjoyable day

Indeed. Does EBC count with the DGP?

Thank you. @GalanaI believe that EBC combined with DGP counts an extra point :)

I am posting this next bird because it is a new addition to our Garden List (not seen here before in more than 20 years) but it popped in twice yesterday and we also saw it today. Not exciting for most, but I know that @michael-ibkis particularly fond of this bird

Stokenchurch is a very reliable place for seeing Red Kites - there have been large numbers every time we have visited. A couple of times we have dropped in on our way to Heathrow, but no Heathrow this year so we made a special visit. We watched them for quite a while over the village and enjoyed watching their aerobatics. We even had a cup of coffee sitting outside and were still able to watch them!.
