i love that shot of the wide open spaces with all those impalas in it. 

Is that Jane Goodall No2 in the group shot? :D

Thanks for sharing @NancyS, I find it hard to believe that my trip to Rwanda is now seven years ago. Your gorillas really make me want to return. As someone who doesn't know Uganda well, is there an advantage to doing one day in Bwindi and one in Mgahinga, versus both days in one of the two parks?

Bwindi and Mgahinga are different so if you want two different experiences you might go to both. The trekking is much more difficult in Bwindi which was interesting. I was glad that I got to experience both. Every day could be different, but for the days that I went, my experience was much better at Mgahinga. The sighting was so much better there. We were on basically flat ground not trying to stand on the side of a mountain. We were very close and the gorillas stayed in that area the whole time we were there. It was more open than Bwindi so I felt like I was right there with them.

A very enjoyable report, thanks so much for sharing. I loved Uganda when we went last year as well, such a friendly country. Plenty of excellent sightings!
