Iwokrama. Found in forest along rivers and oxbow lakes, in abandoned plantations, and at savanna edges, usually near water. The only sighting.

Iwokrama. Quite a cool-looking Swallow, at home in most of the Amazon basin. The only sighting.

Iwokrama. This variant here in the North of South America with the golden hood and rump used to be its own species, the Moriche Oriole.

Iwokrama White-Sand Forest. A very rainy and therefore frustrating morning. The sandy habitat here should have been good for quite a few specials but the weather just did not comply.

Thanks @TonyQ- one of seven Attila species. Tyrant-Flycatchers. And indeed, they get their name from Attila the Hun King because they are apparently very aggressive for their size.

I love your Red-capped Cardinal! Apparently rather common on your side, but I didn’t see it. Also some great antbirds and antthrushes: such difficult species to find and photograph.

Some really cool species Michael, I particularly like the antbirds and similar species but I suffered when trying to photograph those kind of birds in Brasil.
