To count or not to count...

...that was my question.

 

Seriously, once again I had serious doubts on how to do this again, and definitely I don´t have patience to do proper Byg Year chasing all the common species to buid a decent count, so I´ll keep it simple by just keep my life Portugal and World counts.

 

According to ebird, I started the year with 308 species in Portugal and 718 in the World, so I´ll start from there with some new additions from my Easter Kruger trip, there weren´t many since I already had species from South Africa, Botswana and Namibia and it was mostly a family trip to see mammals and I didn´t want to bore the others with too many birds.

 

Let´s get started:

Good to see you back here with some good additions, Pedro!  An impressive total for Portugal already! I am at 298 for the Netherlands, but it took me half a century to get there  !

The only explanation I can think of it that maybe there are more species here than in the Netherlands...
