Hungry hippo in camp.

 

October 2016 - Flatdogs Camp, South Luangwa ....

 

This hippo waited for the all the guests to move from the courtyard dining area so it could walk in and eat the fallen flowers before making a quick exit out of the courtyard entrance (top right of first pic.).

@@Paul T I have to say that your photos on land are just outstanding. I've seen hippos on land in South Luangwa, but never for long enough that it was

possible to take such outstanding photos.

One from the archives taken in Mana Pools in June 2012. Hyena with some left-overs of an Eland that a small pride of lion had fed on for 2 days near the BBC camp turnoff.
