Let's try and upload at least one photograph taken in Africa per day. Who will start the ball rolling? Matt

Very cool, and creative KK - I like it a lot! Below is a picture that I took in Tarangire in Aug 2007 on my first ever game drive. It's still one of my favorites.

Well this isn't going to last very long (although I suppose US-based members have quite a long time left).

May 14th... a lion in either the Lemek or Mara North Conservancy - not sure as we followed him quite a way.

I sat on the edge of a stoor storm for hours waiting for an image like this .......and when it came, I was looking the other way!

Sorry Paul!

Mandina Lodges, Makasutu in The Gambia.

Luxury floating lodges in a mangrove swamp. There are no big game (some lucky folk have seen the fabulously rare West African Manatee there ......but sadly not me!) but the bird life is good and it's a great place to chill out. A package deal there from the UK flying from Gatwick costs about £2,400 ($3,500) PER COUPLE for a week( half board). It is well worth a stay!

For anyone interested check out The Gambia Experience: http://www.gambia.co.uk/

For those who fancy more of an adventure check out the Hidden Gambia: http://www.hiddengambia.com/
