Wonderful photos, I am enjoying them so much and I'm enjoying the lack of ego on this thread. So Zaminoz, get posting!!!!

Yes, that might be the explanation for it - although could just be another male lion (too dull, I know!)

Have you not heard about Kruger's Trex breeding program?

Not sure about another lion - can't see any other scratches or scars (kittykat may have just photographed his good side). It could be a croc or hippo bite from the size and position of that wound and swelling.

On the iMac is use for Photoshop work, viewing with Safari your image looks fine (good tonal range) so it must be a particular system/browser problem. I only mentioned the colour space possibility as I know to my cost that uploading as Adobe RGB and viewing as sRGB does look dull :(

A leopard that totally caught me by surprise in Lake Nakuru, Kenya.

In your album, you need to click on the image to expand it, then right click, copy image url and post that into your post, not the thumbnail URL. Try again. Matt.

Why have I not seen this topic before????!!

To continue the theme of Wild Dogger - both as a first contribution to this thread and as a photo of a Wild Dog....

Finally after countless safaris since 2007, and 1 1/2 years living in Zambia, I had my first Wild Dog sighting in South Luangwa NP in April this year... this is one of my favourite shots...

There should be some sort of warning at the top of the thread for not-yet-gone-to-safari people: "caution, seriously magnificent pictures inside, enter at your own risk"... :)
