Superb flight photos @Geoff, thanks very much for sharing them.

The White-bellied Sea Eagle is an impressive creature and you captured it very well with talons outstretched.

Some very nice shorebirds as well - the Hooded Plover is a dazzling bird.   Question - is that Pacific Golden-Plover a bird in March or April - or a winter plumaged bird?  Just curious if PG Plovers keep more of their golden hue in winter than their North American counterparts.

@offshorebirder

Nate, I have a soft spot for Hoodies (Hooded Plovers) I did a lot of volunteer work for Birdlife Australia monitoring this species.

The Pacific Golden Plover image was taken 13th March 2013, I'd have to look at the dates of my other PGP images but I'm pretty sure that bird is a late leaver from that location.  Though I have seen PGPs coming into breeding plumage at that location. Also, I possibly gave the image a colour boost in post processing. I'll look for images taken at other times and email them to you. American Golden Plovers are vagrants to Australia and I've not seen that species.
