Yes, but not many.

There is one coalition of 4 males, and another single male. He did have a companion but it was killed by lions.

 

The reserve desperately needs female cheetahs but it is apparently very difficult to find female cheetah that are habituated to an environment that has lions.

Cheetahs from orphanages and other rescue programmes are no use because they don't have the necessary survival instinct and just get themselves killed.

The park is on a waiting list but there is no indication of when they might get a female.

They are a very special thing to see @@TonyQ.

I spent ages before i got my first sighting.

With hindsight I think it is a question of choosing the right reserve - and there seem to be many now that report regular wild dog activity.

The sun had set and these cheetahs wanted to hunt. They were waiting for their 2 brothers to join them.

It was pretty dark so thank goodness modern DSLRs can cope with ISO1250 (and beyond)
